Aikido at Renshinkan Dojo

A martial art based on the principles of non-violence and harmony — practised here in Hang Dong by students of all ages and abilities.

The way of harmony

A martial art that protects, not harms

Aikido does not seek to defeat an opponent so much as to neutralise an attack while keeping everyone safe. It teaches students how to be assertive, not aggressive — a principle that holds true in life as well as on the mat.

That is why aikido sits at the centre of the foundation’s work. Each class is quiet practice in the very thing we hope to see in the world: strength used with restraint, and respect for the person in front of you.
